What Actually Happens in a 5AM Network Morning?

Chris — Founder of 5am Network

The live room is built into this site. You sign in with Google, choose a nickname, and join with that name on your tile. It is not a three-hour video call. It is a structured coworking morning.

Clock — Hong Kong time (HKT, UTC+8), every day

  • 05:00–05:30 — room opens. Prepare, settle, start working.
  • 05:30–05:35 — morning goal sharing.
  • 05:35–06:30 — building & learning.
  • 06:30–06:35 — progress sharing.
  • 06:35–07:30 — building & learning.
  • 07:30–07:35 — progress sharing.
  • 07:35–08:00 — final focus.
  • 08:00–08:15 — wrap-up. Leave when you are ready.

First entry closes at 05:45. If you already joined today, you may reconnect after a drop. Attendance credit stops at 08:00 even if you stay until the room is taken down at 08:15.

A qualifying morning is 30 minutes of connected time, counting overlapping reconnects once. Hours on your dashboard are real minutes, capped at three hours.

Camera is encouraged so the room feels inhabited. Microphone stays off unless you are sharing. You can also use the text chat without unmuting. We do not force camera or microphone permission.

We do not police whether you stepped away to pour tea. We also do not pretend a twenty-second visit is a morning. The Terms say this plainly.

Badges in the call are simple. Founder is pinned to the person who started this. A 7-Day Streak appears while your current streak is at least seven days. Lifetime marks live on your profile, not on your tile.
